About me

Design has always interested me and before I knew that the job of Industrial Designer even existed, I studied business and finance for several years, which have been a strong foundation for my over 15 year strong design career.  My experience is broad and my interests are even broader.  Every project I work on brings new skills which inform and inspire my future designs.  My career has not been a straight line, and having worked in different industries has been a significant contribution to my creativity and problem solving.

Through this site, and beyond the traditional CV/resume, I invite you to discover my design history, philosophy and vision.  You will find what I am passionate about, my ideation and some of my successes.  For example, you will see the first furnitures I ever designed, and how I came to hear about industrial design.  You will explore my ideation through several projects, how I interact with my colleagues, superiors, clients and the many craftsmen who bring my designs to life.  I will also share my connexion to materials, craftsmanship, space, light, motion, aesthetics, and why there is no “Marc Gervait” design style but rather a succession of very satisfied clients in various industries, and a few world’s firsts.
